Forbion leads $19 mln round for biopharma company Escalier

Escalier Biosciences BV, a biopharmaceutical company with offices in Encintas, California and The Netherlands, has secured $19 million in Series B financing. Forbion led the round with return backers New Science Ventures and BioGeneration Ventures. In conjunction with the funding, Marco Boorsma, a general partner at Forbion, who will join Escalier’s board of directors.
