Fengate Real Asset Investments has appointed Michael Boychuk to chair of the firm’s advisory board, replacing David McFadden, who is stepping down after serving for twelve years. Boychuk, who joined the advisory board in 2014, is the former president of Bimcor, one of Canada’s largest corporate pension funds. He previously served as a senior executive at BCE Inc, including as head of BCE Capital, the company’s venture capital arm. Toronto-based Fengate is an infrastructure, real estate and private equity investment firm.

TORONTO, May 2, 2017 /CNW/ – Fengate Real Asset Investments (Fengate) is pleased to announce Michael Boychuk has been appointed Chair of Fengate’s Advisory Board, replacing David McFadden who is stepping down as Chair after serving twelve years. Mr. Boychuk has been an Advisory Board member since 2014, closely supporting Fengate’s international growth and strategic initiatives, and the firm’s investment objectives.

Mr. Boychuk was President of Bimcor Inc., one of Canada’s largest private sector pension plan managers, until 2015. He serves as a director of a number of public and private companies. He is a Governor of McGill University and Chair of the University’s Audit Committee, and Chair of the University’s Pension Investment Committee, as well as a member of the International Advisory Board of the Faculty of Management of McGill University. Mr. Boychuk is a previous recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee medal for outstanding public and community service.

Mr. Boychuk is replacing previous Chair David McFadden. Mr. McFadden was appointed Chair of Fengate’s Infrastructure Advisory Board in April 2005.
