Former Pantheon Execs Drive Quay Partners International Expansion

Quay Partners has announced changes to its ownership structure and expansion plans with international appointments enabling the firm to compete in offering global private equity advisory services. Richard Bowley (former CEO of Pantheon) and Geoff Norman (former head of Pantheon Asia) have increased their equity holdings in Quay Partners and now have a controlling stake in the firm.

Quay Partners, an independent private equity advisory and
investment firm, has today announced changes to its ownership structure and expansion plans
with further international appointments enabling it to compete aggressively in offering global
private equity advisory services.
Richard Bowley (former CEO of Pantheon) and Geoff Norman (former head of Pantheon
Asia) have increased their equity holdings in Quay Partners and now have a controlling stake in
the firm. Richard and Geoff each have over 20 years international private equity experience.
Most recently they have established a successful international Timberlands fund-of-funds
business that now has three offices internationally and funds under management of
USD$1.25bn from international institutions. Whilst they hold non-executive positions with Quay
Partners they will be involved in continuing the strategic development of the company.
Stephen White, Managing Partner, believes Quay Partners’ suite of private equity services will
be very compelling for institutional clients wanting international private equity exposure for the
first time, or looking to re-evaluate the cost effectiveness of their approach to their existing
private equity programs.

New International Appointments
San Francisco
We are pleased to announce that Jeffrey Reed, a 12 year Pantheon executive, has joined our
San Francisco office. Jeffrey, a secondary investment specialist, joins Ian Deas, also exPantheon,
who has been with Quay Partners for the last two years. Ian was previously head of
US secondaries for Pantheon, and sat on their global secondaries investment committee. Ian
and Jeffrey have a combined 32 years’ experience focused on the US secondaries space.
London
Quay Partners is also pleased to announce that Lucy Nicholls has joined our London office.
Lucy has long standing relationships throughout the European private equity market, with
experience gained as a Partner at Adams Street and Graphite, and prior to that seven years at
Pantheon. Lucy has considerable experience in developing European private equity programs
for clients.
Sydney
Daniel Bowden has been promoted to Partner and will remain focused on the Australian and
Asian private equity market, which have historically formed the core component of Quay
Partners’ business.
