Former Quartilium executive joins Fleming Family & Partners

Richard Clarke-Jervoise, a senior manager at private equity fund of funds Quartilium who left recently, has joined family office Fleming Family & Partners as investment manager of private equity. Clarke-Jervoise has replaced Simon Jamieson and will work with Caroline Jones-Davies, investment manager for alternatives, on a full range of illiquid investments.

Fleming Family & Partners, a leading international wealth manager, has appointed Richard Clarke-Jervoise as Investment Manager of Private Equity Investments. Replacing Simon Jamieson, Richard will work closely with Caroline Jones-Davies, Investment Manager (Alternatives), on a full range of illiquid investments.

Richard Clarke-Jervoise joins FF&P from Quartilium, a Paris-based Funds of Funds team where he was Managing Director. Quartilium specialises in fund of fund investments in buyouts including management buyouts, and venture capital funds. It also targets infrastructure funds.

Prior to Quartilium, Richard was at Access Capital Partners in Paris and before that Proparco, the Development Financial Institution partly owned by Agence Française de Développement (AFD) from 2001. Richard started his career in Barclays Bank PLC where he was based for two years before moving to Barclays Capital in Paris until 2001.

Richard’s appointment marks a further step in the development of FF&P’s investment approach and methodology. He will be responsible for continuous development and enhancement of FF&P Asset Management’s private equity proposition, as an integral part of the range of the firm’s asset management offering. Richard will also work closely with Caroline in the development and management of the firm’s full range of illiquid investment strategies.
