Four New Hires for Insight Equity Holdings

The Dallas-area private equity firm Insight Equity Holdings has hired four new associates: Neal Jain, Garrett Greer, Luke Bateman, and Fraser Desmond. Jain was previously an investment banking analyst at Lazard Frères. Greer last focused on middle-market PE transactions at American Capital. Desmond joins Insight from Macquarie Capital, where he was a member of its restructuring and special situations group. And Bateman was previously an associate with Lone Star Investment Advisors.


Insight Equity Holdings LLC (“Insight Equity”), the Southlake, Texas private equity firm, is pleased to announce the addition of four new team members. Neal Jain, Garrett Greer, Luke Bateman and Fraser Desmond have joined the team as Associates.

Prior to joining Insight Equity, Neal was an Analyst in the investment banking division at Lazard Frères & Co., a financial advisory and asset management firm. While at Lazard, Neal advised clients in the upstream, midstream, oilfield services and transportation sectors on mergers, acquisitions and capital structure and worked closely with company management teams. Neal graduated Magna Cum Laude from Rice University with a BA in Mathematical Economic Analysis and Statistics.

Garrett joins the Insight Equity team from American Capital. While at American Capital, Garrett focused on executing middle market private equity and private debt transactions across a variety of industries. He also provided support in managing American Capital’s portfolio companies, regularly interacting with senior management teams. Prior to American Capital, Garrett worked as a Financial Analyst in the Investment Banking division of Imperial Capital. Garrett graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a BBA in Accounting and a Masters in Professional Accounting (MPA).

Prior to joining Insight Equity, Luke was an Associate with Lone Star Investment Advisors. While at Lone Star, Luke executed middle market private equity transactions across a variety of industries. Luke was also responsible for monitoring two of Lone Star’s portfolio companies in the oilfield services and distribution industries. Prior to joining Lone Star, Luke was employed as a Financial Analyst with Cogent Partners, a Dallas based investment bank focused on the private equity secondary market. Luke graduated from Harvard University with an AB in Philosophy and a secondary concentration in Government.

Fraser joins the Insight Equity team from Macquarie Capital, where he was a member of the Restructuring and Special Situations Group. Fraser’s prior transaction experience includes in- and out-of-court restructurings, refinancings and debt-for-equity exchanges, as well as distressed asset sales across the media, bank, insurance, and transportation industries. Fraser graduated Cum Laude from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Finance and a second major in Mathematics.
