FTV Capital Looks To Raise $500M For Fourth Fund

The pool would be roughly the same size as FTV Capital’s last fund, which collected $512 million in 2008. That fund is nearly all invested, a source said.

M20 Private Fund Advisors, of White Plains, NY, is listed as the placement agent for FTV IV LP, the filing says.

FTV Capital, which has offices in both San Francisco and New York, was founded in 1998. It was originally known as FTVentures and changed its name in 2008 to FTV Capital. The firm focuses on business services, financial services, payments and transaction processing, as well as technology. Investments can range from $10 million to $75 million, according to the firm’s Web site.

In September, Wright Express said it would buy Fleet One from LLR Partners and FTV Capita in a $369 million deal. FTV Capital led a $15 million Series C round for Shoutlet in June and, in May, led a $50 million round for Utopia.

Officials for FTV Capital couldn’t be reached for comment.
