PRESS RELEASE

GlobalLogic, Inc., the leader in global product development services, has expanded its reach in China and North Asia with the acquisition of Dalian 3CIS, a software product development company with deep roots in China and Japan. Dalian 3CIS joins GlobalLogic’s existing development center in Beijing, China in helping software product companies accelerate their time to market. The acquisition is part of GlobalLogic’s overall strategy to build and retain the world’s best software R&D engineers and help its technology clients enter new markets.

“Many of our clients are looking to us for guidance in entering the Chinese and North Asian markets, which can be hard for outsiders to navigate,” said Kirk Tang, GlobalLogic’s vice president and general manager of China operations. “The addition of 3CIS Dalian strengthens our ties in both Japan and China, while expanding our engineering skill sets.”

GlobalLogic’s Beijing software delivery center was established in November 2007. It specializes in developing software products for the telecommunications, mobile, business and consumer internet, and embedded technology markets. It also provides go-to-market advisory and channel-building services for Asia-Pacific. Dalian 3CIS engineers will bring additional expertise in embedded technologies, voice and face recognition, and artificial intelligence. Its engineers are specialists in JAVA, .NET and C/C++ development.

“At 3CIS, we have established ourselves as a company with some of the country’s best engineers specializing in embedded software as well as speech/image processing and artificial intelligence. The fact that our team speaks fluent Japanese allows us to effectively service clients from Japan. We’re very excited to join the GlobalLogic family,” said Derek Li, former CEO of 3CIS, director of business management for GlobalLogic Dalian.

The city of Dalian, a port city in China’s northeast province of Liaoning, is well-known for its software development industry. Most of the world’s leading information technology and telecommunications companies have established their R&D centers there. Due to its close proximity to Japan, many Japanese firms have chosen Dalian as a primary technology development destination.

GlobalLogic focuses on software product R&D for technology companies, not IT services. It employs thousands of software engineers in the US, India, China and Eastern Europe to help its clients deliver quality software products to market faster than they could on their own. GlobalLogic services include product testing and quality assurance, product analysis, conceptualization and realization, migration and porting, and product maintenance and support.
