Google Capital invests in Care.com

Google Capital has invested $46.35 million in Care.com Inc. Google Capital, a growth equity fund backed by Alphabet Inc, said it is the largest shareholder in Care.com. Waltham, Massachusetts-based Care.com, an online marketplace for finding and managing family care, said is used part of the proceeds to repurchase 3.7 million shares of its common stock from Matrix Partners for $30.5 million. Morgan Stanley acted as placement agent to Care.com and Latham & Watkins served as Care.com’s legal counsel in the transaction.
