Cameron Hewes has been added to Greene Holcomb & Fisher’s investment banking practice as a managing director. The Pacific Northwest investment bank is adding a Northwest native with 15 years of M&A and banking experience, including work with Piper Jaffray.
Greene Holcomb & Fisher (GH&F) is pleased to announce the addition of Cameron Hewes as a Managing Director to continue the growth of its Pacific Northwest investment banking practice. “We are excited to have Cameron join the firm to help lead our efforts in that region of the country,” said Kent Adams, Managing Director at Greene Holcomb & Fisher. “The expansion of the Seattle office and the addition of Cameron are key elements of our plans in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada. Over the past two years, we have continued to invest in our firm and brand at a time when the market was slow. With the M&A market gaining momentum, the addition of high quality professionals like Cameron helps solidify our position as one of the leading middle market M&A firms in North America.”
GH&F, which opened an office in Seattle in early-2010 with the addition of Tom Newell as a Managing Director, provides senior level M&A and advisory services to private and public middle market companies. “The Pacific Northwest market has been very receptive to the type of expertise GH&F brings to every transaction,” said Tom. “We worked with Cameron for several years at Piper Jaffray, so we know him well professionally. Cameron’s background, reputation and track record as an investment banker and finance professional are an exceptional fit for us and the needs of the middle market in this geography. I am extremely excited to have Cameron as my partner to help lead our Pacific Northwest marketing and execution effort.”
Cameron, a native of the Northwest, has 15 years of M&A and business experience in a broad range of industries, including roles as an investment banker, private equity investor, CFO and operating executive. He has successfully executed over 70 M&A, advisory and financing transactions for middle market companies. Cameron began his investment banking career with Piper Jaffray where he led the firm’s education, leisure and consumer technology investment banking practices. Prior to joining GH&F, Cameron was president and chief financial officer of a renewable energy company. Previously, Cameron had also led origination and transaction execution at a regional middle market private equity firm. Cameron is active in the Seattle community, has held several board seats, and is currently on the board of the Washington Clean Technology Alliance. He is a graduate of the University of San Francisco and received his MBA from Yale University.
