GreenSQL, a security company and maker of a database firewall engine, has closed its Series B round with $5.9 million. The company had previously raised $3.8 million of the round. Rhodium and Atlantic Capital Partners led the round, with participation from existing investor Magma Venture Capital. The money will help GreenSQL bring its unified database security products into virtual and cloud architectures.
GreenSQL, a pioneer in the delivery of Unified Database Security and provider of the most downloaded database firewall engine, announced today that it has closed a $5.9 million funding round. The Series B funding round, originally $3.8 million, was increased to $5.9 million. The investment was led by Rhodium and Atlantic Capital Partners, with participation from existing investor Magma Venture Capital, who funded the company’s Series A round in 2009. Gandyr and 2BAngels also participated in this round. Proceeds of the round will be used to drive GreenSQL’s expansion to new markets and to bring the company’s Unified Database Security solution into virtual and cloud architectures.
