HIG Capital has acquired SMTC Corp in a take-private deal. No financial terms were disclosed. Prior to the closing, Guggenheim Securities LLC acted as financial advisor to HIG, while Lincoln International LLC did likewise for SMTC. Markham, Ontario-based SMTC, which traded on Nasdaq, is an electronics manufacturing services provider.
