John Hamel has joined ROTH Capital Partners as MD and head of the FIG unit. Hamel was previously with FBR Capital Markets where he headed the West Coast FIG group.

Hamel has joined the firm’s Investment Banking team as a Managing Director and Head of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG).
Mr. Hamel has over 15 years investment banking experience with a focus on completing public and private capital raises and executing merger, acquisition and other advisory services transactions in the bank, thrift, specialty finance and financial technology industries. He joins ROTH from FBR Capital Markets where he was a Managing Director and Head of the West Coast Financial Institutions Investment Banking Group.
