HarbourVest Partners has named Adam Freedman as a managing director and chief compliance officer.
“We are pleased to welcome Adam to HarbourVest and our growing legal and compliance team,” said John Toomey, a managing director of HarbourVest Partners, in a statement. “Adam’s deep experience and understanding of the global regulatory environment will help us navigate increasingly complex regulations as we continue to grow our organization and enter new markets.”
Most recently, Freedman was chief compliance officer and associate general counsel at Angelo, Gordon & Co. Prior to that role, he was an executive director in the legal and compliance division at Morgan Stanley.
Freedman received his BA from Yale, his law degree from Oxford, and his Master’s in Law from the University of Chicago.
