HarbourVest Partners has appointed Olav König as a managing director and head of sales and client service for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In this role König will expand and enhance HarbourVest’s relationships with investors and their advisers in the EMEA geographic region.
HarbourVest Partners, LLC (“HarbourVest” or the “Firm”), a leading private markets investment firm, today announced that Olav König has joined HarbourVest Partners (U.K.) Limited as a Managing Director and Head of Sales and Client Service for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. In this role Olav, a German national and a lawyer by background, will expand and enhance HarbourVest’s relationships with investors and their advisers in the EMEA geographic region.

Olav will be based in London and will focus on providing private markets solutions to institutional investors, whether they are looking for a manager of their global private equity and debt program, or a manager to complement their existing team.

Olav will work alongside HarbourVest’s existing team, which includes Hannah Tobin, a Principal who is focused on client and consultant relations, and HarbourVest’s 28 investment and client service professionals based in Europe.
Olav joins from Eaton Partners, a global placement agent where he was a Partner and Head of Europe, with a focus on German-speaking countries and U.K.-based LPs. Prior to that, he spent eight years at Capital Dynamics in Zurich and London, latterly as Managing Director, Business Development. Earlier in his career he worked for Sitka Partners and Dresdner Kleinwort Benson.
Olav received a Master of Law and studied at Bonn, Freiburg, and Kiel University in Germany in 1995 and is a fully qualified German lawyer (“Rechtsanwalt”).
