Global investment firm HarbourVest Partners said Monday that it has promoted Julie Eiermann and Tim Flower to managing director. Prior to joining HarbourVest, Eiermann worked at Advent International while Flower was at Bridgepoint in London.

Julie Eiermann is one of HarbourVest’s longest-serving employees, joining the Firm in 1993. During her 20 years with the Firm, she has built the Portfolio Analytics Team into one of HarbourVest’s most valuable assets. The Portfolio Analytics Team is responsible for the collection, tracking, benchmarking, and analysis of all investment data, including primary partnership, secondary, and direct investments. This team is made up of 30 professionals and continues to expand in response to the growth in demand for information and transparency. The team helps HarbourVest deliver service and insight to its investors. Julie joined HarbourVest from Advent International and received a BA from University of New Hampshire.
Tim Flower joined HarbourVest’s secondary team in London in 2008. He has played a leading role in a number of significant transactions in Europe and Asia. For the past three years, Tim has led the Firm’s secondary investment efforts in Asia and has helped HarbourVest establish an exceptional reputation for completing complex transactions in Asia and the emerging markets. Noteworthy recent deals include Project Hermanus IV, a secondary direct purchase of five South African businesses from a Johannesburg-based bank, as well as Project Beijing, which involved the purchase of interests in eight China-based companies, together with NewQuest Capital. Tim also supports HarbourVest’s investor relations in Asia. He serves on the advisory boards of funds managed by Asia Growth Capital Advisors, Absa Capital Private Equity Partners, and NewQuest Capital Advisors. Tim joined HarbourVest from Bridgepoint in London, and his prior experience includes positions with MCF Corporate Finance, Nordea Securities, and Ernst & Young, where he received his ACA certification. Tim holds a degree in Economics from the University of Nottingham.
