Hootnick Joins Broadpoint Capital

Mark Hootnick has joined Broadpoint Capital as a managing director in the firm’s recapitalization and restructuring group. He previously was a managing director with Imperial Capital.



Broadpoint Capital, Inc., the broker-dealer subsidiary of Broadpoint Securities Group, Inc. (BPSG) today announced that Mark Hootnick joined the firm as a Managing Director in their Recapitalization and Restructuring group. Mr. Hootnick was previously a Managing Director at Imperial Capital and prior to that was a Managing Director at Greenhill & Co and Miller Buckfire.

Mr. Hootnick, a restructuring veteran, has worked for debtors, creditors, and other interested parties on a wide variety of restructuring assignments both in Chapter 11 and in negotiated out-of-court processes. He began his career as a lawyer with Kramer, Levin, Naftalis & Frankel.

Mr. Hootnick is a graduate of New York University School of Law and received his undergraduate degree in finance from Lehigh University.
