Hosen Capital racks up $440 mln for third fund

Chinese private equity firm Hosen Capital has closed its oversubscribed third fund at $440 million. Hosen Fund III’s investors ranged from the U.S. and Europe to the Middle East and Asia. Eaton Partners served as adviser and placement agent while Clifford Chance provided legal counsel. Hosen focuses on the food and agribusiness-related companies that are either located in China or are involved in meeting demand on the Chinese market.

BEIJING, March 3, 2017 /PRNewswire/ — Beijing Hosen Investment Management, LLP (“Hosen Capital”), a leading private equity firm focused on consumption driven opportunities in food and agribusiness, announced today that it has completed a final closing for Hosen Fund III, (“Fund III”), with total investor commitments of $440 million.

The oversubscribed fund experienced significant demand and closed after eight months in the market with support from a diverse range of institutional investors from the U.S., Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Eaton Partners, a Stifel Company, served as advisor and exclusive fund placement agent, and Clifford Chance acted as legal counsel to Hosen in the offering of Fund III.
