Dermot Hanley and Yuki Narula have joined Irish investment firm Claret Capital, in order to lead its new private equity fund teams in Dublin and New York, respectively. Hanley previously was with JPMorgan, as a Toronto-based executive director of mid-corporate investment banking. Narula also was with JPMorgan, as a New York-based executive director in its financial sponsors group.
Claret Capital (‘Claret’), the Irish private investment firm, is delighted to announce two key appointments to lead its new Private Equity Fund teams in its Dublin and New York offices.
The appointments of Dermot Hanley and Yuki Narula to the positions of Managing Director of Private Equity Funds in Claret’s Dublin and New York offices respectively, reflect the continued growth of Claret Capital and its expanding investment portfolio. Dermot and Yuki will work cooperatively, driving Claret Capital’s middle market private equity fund initiative, to which they bring over 30 years of combined professional experience in investment banking.
Dermot has 17 year’s experience in the North American investment banking market, and joins Claret Capital from JP Morgan in Toronto where he was Executive Director in the Mid-Corporate Investment Banking Group. Prior to that Dermot spent four years based in New York working for Deutsche Bank as a Director in the Financial Sponsor Investment Bank Group. He has also worked for Citigroup in Canada.
Yuki joins Claret from JP Morgan in New York where he was Executive Director of the Financial Sponsors Group responsible for bringing proprietary Merger & Acquisition transactions to the private equity community. He previously held the position of Corporate Finance Analyst, Mergers & Acquisitions Group with Lehman Brothers in New York.
