IronGate Energy Services, which is backed by Clearlake Capital Group, said Wednesday it has acquired Sun Tubular Services. Financial terms weren’t announced. Andrews, Texas-based Sun Tubular provides rental services to exploration and production operators in the Permian Basin.
HOUSTON–(BUSINESS WIRE)–IronGate Energy Services, a leading provider of rental and tubular services to oil and natural gas exploration and production operators in North America, today announced that it has acquired Sun Tubular Services, a provider of rental services to exploration and production operators in the Permian Basin.
Strategically located near Odessa, Texas, Sun Tubular expands IronGate’s size, scale, and breadth of services throughout the entire Permian Basin, one of the most active oil and gas plays in North America with an attractive long-term outlook. Coupled with IronGate’s January acquisition of Green Light Energy Services, a provider of rental services to exploration and production operators in the Williston Basin, this marks the second acquisition IronGate has announced this year. IronGate was acquired by affiliates of Clearlake Capital Group in the second quarter of 2013.
