Janet Christensen Joins NewOak Capital

Janet Christensen has joined NewOak Capital as managing director of marketing. She previously was with Tegris and The Blackstone Group.

NewOak Capital announces the appointment of Janet Christensen as Managing Director of Marketing, covering institutional clients such as private equities and financial institutions in New York and London.

Janet Christensen co-founded Tegris, a privately held firm specializing in M&A and Asset Management. Prior to Tegris, Ms. Christensen served for over 17 years at The Blackstone Group as Chief of Staff for CEO Stephen A. Schwarzman’s office overseeing day-to-day operations; assisting in raising of multiple private equity funds; maintaining client and investor relations; and internal and external communications. Prior to her tenure at Blackstone, Ms. Christensen worked with the Chairman & CEO of NW Ayer Inc., America’s first advertising agency, in Ayer’s Los Angeles office. She holds a B.A. in Political Science from Brigham Young University.
