Jim began his career as an investment banking generalist at Lehman Brothers and then became a reorganization and leverage finance specialist at Credit Suisse.  Mr. Jenkins spent 10 years at two hedge funds, most recently at King Street Capital Management, where he was involved in sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities, represented the funds on the boards of directors of several companies and also was active in the investor relations group.
Adebayo Ogunlesi, Managing Partner of GIP, commented:  “Many of us at GIP have known and worked with Jim for many years.  We are extremely pleased to add Jim to the GIP investment team in New York where his senior client and investor relationship skills and his deep knowledge of equity and credit investment in distressed and event-driven situations will be an important addition to the GIP team.
