Private Equity Jobs of the Week: UBS, Capital One, Zurich are hiring

UBS is seeking a portfolio manager/analyst. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing research and managing an equities portfolio in a defined strategy/sector. Duties include coverage of relevant companies, evaluating investor sentiment, monitoring risk, and partnering with specialists outside the equity environment. The position is located in New York.

Capital One Ventures is looking to hire an analyst to assist the venture capital investment team in all projects and initiatives. Responsibilities include helping to source and evaluate new opportunities, creating and presenting investment theses and strategy recommendations, and building financial analyses for companies and the portfolio as a whole. Qualifications are a bachelor’s degree with high marks and at least two years of experience in finance, strategy, or technology. The position is located in New York.

Duff & Phelps is on the hunt for a vice president, portfolio valuation to advise private equity and hedge fund clients on their alternative investment positions. Responsibilities include designing financial models, performing valuation analysis, and interviewing clients. Applicants should have a minimum of four years of experience constructing and reviewing valuation models. The position is located in Chicago.

Zurich Alternative Asset Management is in the market for an associate, private equity. The hire will identify funds and direct private capital investment opportunities, perform analysis and due diligence, and participate in portfolio monitoring. Qualifications include at least two to three years of prior experience in private equity, M&A, corporate finance, or consulting. The position is located in New York.

Axa Strategic Ventures is on the lookout for a senior/lead director to play a leadership role with its newly-formed U.S. corporate VC investment team. The successful candidate will posses significant “deal wisdom”, intuition and creativity in sourcing and structuring investments, and a strong network in New York City’s entrepreneurial community. Qualifications include board experience and a track record of adding value to portfolio companies. The position is located in New York.
