Jobs of the week: KBL, TIAA-CREF, UBS and Oregon State Treasury are hiring

KBL Healthcare Ventures is seeking a partner for its newest private equity fund. The individual should have experience in direct investing in private equity vs. investment banking experience. This new fund is in formation but will be the sixth investment vehicle for KBL.  Healthcare investing experience is a plus. The position is in the greater New York City area.

TIAA-CREF is looking to hire a director of energy and infrastructure for its New York City office. The hire will perform quantitative and qualitative analysis used in the underwriting of potential direct investment opportunities. Also, he or she will work closely with senior staff in the research, analysis, structuring and pricing of infrastructure and energy-related investments. Candidates should have a minimum of five years of infrastructure/energy industry experience.

UBS is interviewing for an investment banking director of its private funds group. Duties include raising debt finance, accessing equity markets, assisting clients to restructure their balance sheets as appropriate and providing financial analysis and valuation of various strategic outcomes. Also, he or she will check and taking responsibility for the work of junior colleagues while negotiating engagement letters, confidentiality agreements and other agreements. The job is in New York City.

Oregon State Treasury is seeking a senior investment analyst for its team. The successful candidate will receive and review offering memorandums, take frequent meetings with prospective general partners and placement agents, and help determine whether further consideration of proposed investment opportunities is appropriate. Also, he or she will monitor partnership fee, compliance and performance metrics using reports from and discussions with consultants and general partner personnel. Applicants should have a minimum of five years’ experience reviewing, analyzing or managing equity or similar risk-asset portfolios, including a specific focus on private or alternative investment portfolios. Monthly salary is between $7,652.00 and $11,306.00. The job is in Tigard, Oregon.
