Black Dragon Capital is seeking to add a partner. Responsibilities can span the full investment cycle, from sourcing, due diligence to post transaction integration and full exit. Also, he or she will provide strategic input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization (i.e., evaluation of potential alliances and strategic add-on acquisitions). Candidates should have proven experience as a chief financial officer with an emphasis on early-stage and rapidly growing-for-profit entities. The job is in the Miami/Fort Lauderdale area.

Connecticut Retirement Plan & Trust Funds is interviewing for a principal investment officer for its private investment fund. The hire should have considerable knowledge of the principles and practices of private equity across a variety of private investment partnership structures, asset allocation, performance measures and methodologies used in evaluating managers, capital market theory and related trading and investment accounting practices. Candidates should have a minimum of eight years of relevant experience in private equity/alternative investment including portfolio management, research and/or investment consulting. D.E. Shaw is looking to hire a private equity attorney in its Hong Kong office. The hire should be a corporate attorney with seven or more years of experience to support the firm’s private equity group in Hong Kong. Duties include counseling the group in connection with M&A transactions, debt financings (both on the borrower and lender sides), private placements and other private investment transactions in a variety of industries. Candidates must be fluent in both English and Mandarin and have extensive experience leading and structuring deals and advising private equity funds and their sponsors directly.

Cascade Partners is recruiting for a vice president or director for its team. The hire should be capable of managing deal processes, analyzing companies and industries. Also, he or she should oversee the development of models and supporting research as part of a team to close strategic transactions that include mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings and private investments for both investment banking clients and the firm’s fund. Applicants must have a minimum of four years of related experience in investment banking or similar fields; an MBA is a strong advantage. The position is in the Cleveland/Akron, Ohio area.
