Jobs of the week: Drum Capital, William Blair, Cambridge and Pimco are hiring

Drum Capital is seeking a director of private equity investor relations. Duties include identifying potential clients and developing relationships across the institutional investor and related advisor universe. Also, he or she will prepare and maintain all marketing materials and compile comprehensive and persuasive presentations. Applicants should have have seven to 10 years of relevant experience in private equity fundraising and investor relations; experience in credit markets a plus. The job is based in Stamford, Connecticut.

William Blair & Company is interviewing for an investment banking vice president of healthcare for its Chicago office. Dues include executing and managing actions in deal teams representing mergers and acquisitions, equity offerings and private equity placement. An MBA from a top-tiered business school is preferred. Candidates should have Series 79 and 63 licenses, which are required within 90 days of hire.

Cambridge Associates is looking to add an investment director to its team. Duties include creating and developing diversified portfolios to enable increased returns and lower volatility consistent with time horizon, risk tolerance and income needs of client. The hire will conduct analyses, prepare materials and direct clients on investment and financial issues. An MBA or CFA is strongly preferred. Candidates should have “appropriate” investment knowledge and experience gained from work at an investment firm or a large institutional investor, such as a pension fund or endowment.

Pimco is recruiting for a compliance officer. The hire will be responsible for assisting with the firm’s 206(4)-7 and 38(a)-1 annual compliance program reviews, risk assessment and monitoring activities. Duties also include updates and maintenance of compliance policies and procedures, working on strategic initiatives as well as assisting with efforts to streamline processes for efficiency, enhance control environment and mitigate potential risks. Candidates should have five to eight years of experience in fixed income and equities with an investment manager or an investment company or comparable experience as an auditor or consultant with a major firm.This position is based in Newport Beach, California.

Main Line Equity Partners is looking to hire an associate or senior associate to its work force. Duties include screening new investment opportunities and developing financial models. He or she will be actively involved in deal structuring. The job will initially be based in Pittsburgh with the potential to relocate in the future. Applicants should have at least two years of investment banking, management consulting or private equity experience.
