Jobs of the week: Duff & Phelps, Macquarie, Oak Tree and Fortress are hiring

Duff & Phelps Corp is looking to add a managing director of mergers and acquisitions to its New York City team. Duties include generating and executing a variety of M&A transactions, from initial client pitches to transaction closings. Also, the managing director will collaborate internally and cross sell additional Duff & Phelps product and services. Applicants should have a minimum of 10 years’ M&A experience. He or she must be comfortable making cold calls and being persistent in the pursuit of potential business.

Cambridge Associates is interviewing for an investment director to be part of the client and research teams in Arlington, Virginia. Duties include creating and developing diversified portfolios to enable increased returns and lower volatility consistent with time horizon, risk tolerance and income needs of client. Also, the hire will conduct analyses, prepare materials and direct clients on investment and financial issues. An MBA or CFA is strongly preferred.

Oak Tree Capital is looking to hire a vice president of regulatory compliance. Duties include managing and monitoring the regulatory reporting and developments in the U.S. Also, he or she will develop and implement effective regulatory solutions and execute the firm’s compliance directives. Applicants should have six to seven years of relevant experience within the financial services industry; some exposure to investment advisor compliance practices is required. A JD is a plus. The job is in Los Angeles.

Macquarie Capital is currently seeking an infrastructure private equity associate for its New York City office. The hire will be responsible for the the financial modelling and analysis of companies and transactions, identifying and executing acquisitions and divestitures. Candidates should have a bachelor degree or higher from a top-tier university and two to three years’ experience in investment banking or private equity.

Fortress Investment Group is interviewing for a media private equity associate. The hire will analyze and execute investment and asset management strategies. He or she will develop flexible financial models and perform ad hoc financial forecasting, analyses and modeling. Candidates should have two to four years of experience as an analyst at a top investment bank, most preferably in media, M&A or leveraged finance industries. The position is in New York City.
