Jobs of the week: Goldman Sachs, State Street, Piper Jaffray and OMERS are hiring

Goldman Sachs is recruiting for a vice president of compliance and asset management position for its New York office. Duties include reviewing various marketing materials used to pitch GSAM products and services to clients. Also, he or she will conduct due diligence on external (non-GSAM) investment advisers to assess their control environment and to identify and mitigate any risks.  .

State Street Corp is seeking a vice president of private equity fund administration for its Fair Lawn, New Jersey office. Duties include providing overall direction to department managers and staff to assure teamwork that accomplishes yearly and quarterly financial and operations’ goals and objectives. Also, the hire will review and approve all transactions (money movement, trades, etc.) in accordance with established guidelines. Applicants should have 15 or more years of accounting or financial service operations experience. An MBA and/or CPA is a plus.

Piper Jaffray is recruiting for an experienced investment banking vice president of technology, media and telecom. The senior VP is responsible for structuring and executing transactions, and typically functions as a backup for relationships with important clients. Also, he or she will prepare valuations, write memos for company sale assignments and private placements, prepare M&A analyses, and participate in due diligence and drafting sessions for public offerings.

OMERS Private Equity is looking to hire a post-MBA associate. This role includes opportunities to be involved in evaluating, acquiring and actively managing private equity investments. Applicants should have a strong undergraduate and MBA academic record, excellent references and at least four years of work experience in either investment banking or private equity.

Black River Asset Management is currently interviewing for a private equity senior associate. Duties include assisting in the pre-investment and post-investment process. Also, he or she will follow assigned sectors and the leading firms within it. The job is in the company’s food- and agribusiness private equity group in Shanghai. Applicants should be fluent in both Mandarin and English (both written and verbal).
