Stanford University is interviewing for a managing director of private equity. The hire will will oversee investment activities related to private equity, as well as be a key member of the firm’s senior investment team. The successful candidate will develop and implement the school’s private equity investment strategy across buy-out, growth, and venture capital. Candidates should be a proven investor with a minimum of 10 years of relevant private equity experience leading a portfolio of external investment partners; experience investing in private equity directly in an institutional or private office setting is also valued. The job is in Stanford, California.

Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan is looking to hire a director of private asset operations for its Toronto office. The hire will organize the private asset operations group for value-added results, ensuring efficient processes, strong governance and high level of service to its clients. Also, he or she will provide excellent client service to the investments division via producing timely and accurate information, holding client feedback sessions and anticipating needs. Applicants should have 10 plus years of related professional experience in operations.

UBS is recruiting for an investment banking director of private equity funds group. The hire will be responsible for pitching to clients for business and the day-to-day management of corporate finance transaction processes, which include raising debt finance, accessing equity markets and assisting clients to restructure their balance sheets as appropriate. The position is based in New York City.

Octopus Capital is seeking to add an investment manager to its London office. Candidates should have have substantial experience with completed M&A transactions in the financial services or energy sectors. Experience in the investment appraisal and execution process is required, including in-depth commercial due diligence, negotiating details of equity and debt financings, legal structuring, writing investment approvals and conducting post-investment follow-up. The hire should be an experienced professional from a private equity background, a top-tier investment bank, a top three strategy consulting firm or a Big 4 transactions services team.
