Jobs of the week: Palomar Capital, IMRF, Hamilton Lane and Partners Group are hiring

Palomar Capital Management is seeking a partner at its San Diego office. The partner should have the ability to lead deals from start to finish without supervision. He or she should have experience as a practicing M&A attorney with private equity investment experience. Also, candidates should have a track record of closing deals and significant experience working with CEOs and management teams to drive value creation.

Wilshire Associates is looking to hire a head of operations and administration. The hire will oversee the project management and day-to-day execution process that impacts the global operations and client service teams based in Santa Monica, California; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Melbourne, Australia. Also, he or she will lead the team responsible for capital calls and distributions, RFP submission, marketing collateral, preparation of investor capital statements and fund financial statements. A minimum of nine years of experience is required.

The Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund is currently recruiting for a private markets investment officer. Duties include managing the private markets program to achieve long-term performance targets within acceptable risk parameters. The hire will also manage the Freedom of Information Act process, meeting all legal requirements. He or she will determine prospective new and/or follow-on investments in the current asset class or other alternative categories. Candidates should have a minimum of seven years of institutional investment experience, including at least two years of private market investment and institutional investment experience.

Partners Group is interviewing for a private debt associate at its New York City office. The hire will perform due diligence including, but not limited to, financial and operational analysis, transaction structuring and industry research on prospective private debt investments. Also, he or she will perform various tasks related to product reporting while monitoring current investments, market research, internal requests, fund marketing efforts, and new deal originations. Candidates should have three to five years working as a corporate or investment banking analyst or in an associate program at a private equity fund, a private debt fund or a business development company.

Hamilton Lane is seeking to hire a fund investment associate. The hire will analyze funds and assist the senior members of the fund diligence team through team resource allocation, managing day-to-day aspects of fund analysis and oversight of the functional team as well as assisting in communication with general partners and clients. Also, he or she will provide training and functional guidance for analysts. Applicants should have three to five years of experience with at least two to three years in private equity fund investing. The job is in Philadelphia.
