AIG is seeking a managing director of direct equity investments. The hire will manage all aspects of the investment process for AIG’s directly managed private equity co-investments. Also, he or she will supervise a team of experienced investment professionals engaged in the initiation and evaluation of new private equity co-investments as well as the ongoing monitoring and portfolio management of existing investments. Ten years of related professional experience is required. The job is in New York City.

CoBe Capital is seeking a portfolio M&A vice president in New York City. Duties include conducting strategic analysis of target options, originating transaction opportunities, evaluating transactions from financial and operational perspectives, performing due diligence, managing pre-close planning and post-close transition items. Candidates should have at least three to five years of work experience in a transaction role inside an investment bank, accounting firm, transaction services firm or private equity firm.

California State Teachers’ Retirement System is looking for an investment officer. The hire will review, analyze and evaluate offering memoranda and other due diligence documents from a variety of domestic and international partnerships to be included in the private equity portfolio. Also, he or she will evaluate and recommend investments in partnerships, co-investments and secondary transactions to the director of private equity. The position is based in Yolo, California.

Penta Mezzanine Fund is seeking to add a private equity associate to its Orlando, Florida office. Duties include performing financial analysis and conducting due diligence on prospective investment opportunities. Also, he or she will develop detailed financial models supporting investment decisions. Applicants should have at least two years of relevant experience with a strong emphasis on financial analysis and modeling, investment analysis and due diligence.

TIAA-CREF is recruiting for a senior investment analyst of endowments for its Houston office. The hire will prepare for and attend sourcing, approval and monitoring meetings with private equity, venture capital and real asset fund managers. Also, he or she will document all pertinent information/issues derived from meetings and assist in the due diligence process for new fund investments and co-investment opportunities. Experience in evaluating direct private equity investments is preferred.
