M&T Bank is interviewing for a director of private market strategies. Duties include conducting and documenting detailed analysis of new and existing private markets vehicles as well as monitoring and tracking investments, in addition to risk exposures of current investments in private market funds. Also, he or she will assist in the day-to-day management of proprietary multi-manager alternative funds (public and private) along with all ongoing monitoring and compliance obligations. The job is based in Wilmington, Delaware.

William Blair is on the hunt for an investment banking vice president of healthcare. The hire will execute and manage actions in deal teams representing M&A, equity offerings and private equity placement. Also he or she will search for and recommend new deal opportunities to be entered into by the firm through the formulation/issuance of factual financial analyses and the creation of various financing plans. An MBA from a top-tiered business school is preferred. Series 79 and 63 licenses are required within 90 days of hire. The position is in Chicago.

Grosvenor Capital Management is seeking to add a senior compliance officer of private equity to its New York City staff. The hire will develop and improve the firm’s compliance infrastructure, policies and external compliance-related reporting capabilities. Also, he or she will identify areas of potential compliance risk and vulnerability and oversee and drive effective resolution, reporting to senior management and authorities as necessary. Applicants should have a JD from a top law school. Preference is toward those admitted to practice law in the state of New York. Experience with SEC regulatory filings is desired. Highland Capital Management is seeking an institutional fundraiser of U.S. sales. Duties include identifying and developing new relationships with institutional clients as well as growing and developing a region or channel of prospective investors. Also, he or she will conduct appropriate market research on target prospects, set up meetings and communicate the firm’s strategies and differentiating factors. Candidates should have an active set of relationship and five plus years of institutional fundraising experience, with a documented track record of asset raising in a performance-based compensation structure. An MBA is a plus. The job will be available either in Dallas or New York City.

Borealis Infrastructure is looking to hire an associate for its New York City team. The hire will research and analyze financial statements, industry information, technical and financial data, and present conclusions to team members and managers. Also, he or she will develop or oversee complex financial models to support investment decisions as well as valuate the information provided by the vendor, company management and professional advisors and incorporate the relevant information into Borealis’ investment analysis. A knowledge of Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.

Shell is recruiting for an investment strategist for its office in Rijswijk, Netherlands. The hire will be responsible for drafting regular reports on macro and financial market developments, which include market reviews in annual/quarterly investment reports, strategy newsletters and market review presentations. Also, he or she will explore new investment approaches to further optimize the balance between investments and liabilities. Applicants should have a master’s degree in finance, economics or econometrics.
