Jobs of the week: Seeking a venture capital MD at GE, among others

This week peHUB has highlighted two chief investment officer positions at San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System and the New Jersey Department of the Treasury. There is also a private equity fund administrator, senior associate opening at State Street and venture capital managing director position up for grabs at GE Software.

San Francisco Employees’ Retirement System’s CIO will report to the executive director, helping to formulate investment philosophy and strategies for the Retirement System, making recommendations to the executive director and the retirement board and implementing board-adopted policies and strategies. The New Jersey Department of the Treasury is advertising on its website for a director/chief investment officer for the Division of Investments to guide and manage the investment of monies in the state’s various pension funds, valued at approximately $74 billion as of June 30, 2013, in more than 180 separate investment funds, according to the pension fund.

Global investment manager State Street is interviewing candidates for a private equity fund administrator, senior associate position. The successful applicant will be responsible for directing the day-to-day accounting and admin for client-sponsored investment funds.

On the venture side, GE Software has a vacancy for a venture capital managing director, responsible for sourcing, planning and leading strategic investments and/or acquisitions on behalf of GE Software & Analytics. More details on the position can be found here.
