PRESS RELEASE
HOUSTON, March 7, 2018 /PRNewswire/ — Juniper Capital Advisors, L.P. (“Juniper”) today announced that it has conducted the final close of Juniper Capital III, L.P. (the “Fund”) at its hard cap of $677.5 million, including $27.5 million from the general partner of the Fund. The Fund continues the investment strategy of its predecessor fund, Juniper Capital II, L.P., targeting lower middle-market equity investments in private oil and gas companies located in the continental United States. Since 2015, Juniper has invested in nine such companies and has received over $1.2 billion in commitments.
Edward Geiser, Managing Partner, said: “We are extremely thankful for the support and loyalty of our investors and are honored to have them as our partners. It is humbling to have such a diverse and experienced group express such a strong commitment to Juniper Capital III in such a short period of time. We remain excited about the investment opportunities that we are seeing, and look forward to using our unique network and approach to source and prosecute high quality investments.”
Kevin Cumming, Partner, added: “The presence and reputation we have established in the marketplace for lower middle-market E&P investments continues to attract great management teams who want to partner with us. And our mix of technical and finance-oriented professionals allows us to evaluate potential investments quickly and ‘speak the same language’ with existing and potential partners.”
Richard Gordon, Partner, continued: “The past few years have been one of the more tumultuous periods in the oil & gas industry that I have witnessed during my entire career. The quality and experience of the Juniper team, combined with our outstanding management team partners and our blue-chip investor base, has allowed us to capitalize on this volatility, and we expect to continue to generate value for our investors in Juniper Capital III.”
Latham & Watkins LLP served as fund formation counsel. Juniper did not use a placement agent in connection with this fundraise.
