KKR said Aug. 2 that it has agreed to buy PharMerica Corp in a deal valued at $1.4 billion, including debt. Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc will have a minority stake. PharMerica, of Louisville, Kentucky, operates 96 institutional pharmacies, 20 specialty home infusion pharmacies and 5 specialty oncology pharmacies in 45 states.
