Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP, a national law firm with offices in New York, Los Angeles and Miami, announced today that Ray LaSoya has joined the firm as a Partner, effective immediately. Mr. LaSoya will be resident in the firm’s Los Angeles office and will serve as the National Chair of Stroock’s Private Equity Practice Group.

He counsels clients in the areas of public disclosure, reporting and corporate governance. He represents both public and private companies, including private equity investors and their portfolio companies, in their day-to-day legal affairs and in transactions across a broad range of industries.
“Ray brings to Stroock extensive experience in a wide variety of corporate transactions, and is a tremendous addition to our corporate capabilities,” said Stuart Coleman, Stroock’s Co-Managing Partner. “His client base complements Stroock’s, and his background and experience as both a leader and an attorney will greatly enhance the firm’s strong Private Funds, Financial Restructuring and Entertainment practices.”
