Lazard adds new MD to team

Lazard has hired Charles Andrez has a managing director in middle market advisory. The appointment is effective immediately. Previously, Andrez, who is based in Paris, worked at Canaccord Genuity.

PARIS–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Lazard Ltd (NYSE:LAZ) announced today that Charles Andrez has joined the Firm as a Managing Director in middle market advisory, effective immediately. Based in Paris, Mr. Andrez will focus on M&A and other financial advisory services for mid-sized clients in Europe.

Charles Andrez joins Lazard from Canaccord Genuity, formerly known as Hawkpoint Partners, where he spent more than 13 years in mergers and acquisitions, with a focus on private equity and midsize transactions. Prior to that, he served in various roles at ING Barings and Edmond de Rothschild. Mr. Andrez earned a BA in Finance from Dauphine University and a Master’s degree in corporate finance from Sorbonne University.

Lazard provides middle market clients with financial and strategic advice on mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, and placements of equity and debt to mid-sized companies.
