- The recruitment of Kertanguy is in line with LBO France’s acceleration of its focus on ESG and climate investing
- He has nearly 13 years of experience in ESG, climate and sustainable finance
LBO France has named Stanislas de Kertanguy as head of ESG and Feng Zhao as managing director in the investor relations team.
Kertanguy has nearly 13 years of experience in ESG, climate and sustainable finance, having spent 11 years at PwC France in the sustainable development department. During his time at PwC he assisted investment funds and major French institutions in their corporate social responsibility and climate strategies. Kertanguy has led several ESG training courses offered to France Invest members, written methodological guides on sustainable finance and has advised listed companies on ESG and climate change communications with their investors.
Kertanguy will report directly to CEO Stéphanie Casciola and will be responsible for supporting the implementation of the ESG, climate and impact roadmaps across the firm’s activities. He will be particularly involved in the implementation of the Newstone Impact Fund which is dedicated to real estate and construction start-ups. It is positioned on three themes: energy and environmental transition, inclusiveness and urbanization and sustainable infrastructure.
“I am very pleased to welcome Stanislas de Kertanguy to LBO France,” said Casciola. “A pioneer in ESG, LBO France is one of the founding members of the international climate initiative and one of the first signatories of the France Invest charter for parity. With the support of Stanislas de Kertanguy, we will continue to accelerate our work on ESG and climate change, two issues that are at the heart of my strategic priorities.”
To aid with its geographic expansion strategy and consolidation of its foreign investor base, LBO France has recruited Feng Zhao to the investor relations team. Zhao has worked in cross border transactions for six years, working on the establishment of European companies in China. Zhao previously worked for the Edmond de Rothschild Group in China in the private equity and asset management divisions. Zhao brings with him 12 years of transaction experience in both China and Europe, including eight years in private equity. He will support the development of relationships with foreign investors with a focus on Asia.
