Leeds Equity Partners has made four promotions: Brad Whitman and Peter Lyons from principal to managing director (Lyonds remains CFO), Atif Gilani from vice president to principal and Jesse Serventi from associate to senior associate.

Leeds Equity Partners, LLC, the New York-based private equity firm focused on the education, training and knowledge industries, announced today it has promoted four of its professionals.
Effective as of year-end 2007, Brad Whitman and Peter Lyons, also the Firm's Chief Financial Officer, were each promoted from Principal to Managing Director. Additionally, Atif Gilani was promoted from Vice President to Principal and Jesse Serventi was promoted from Associate to Senior Associate.

Brad Whitman has been with Leeds Equity for three years and was involved in the acquisitions of Education Management and EduK Group, each being leading for-profit postsecondary companies in their markets, and the pending acquisition of Campus Management, which Leeds Equity announced last month. Mr. Whitman serves on the Board of Directors of EduK Group and will serve on the Board of Campus Management. Peter Lyons joined Leeds Equity in 1999 as Chief Financial Officer and as an investment professional. He has been involved in various aspects of each of the Firm's investments, including serving on the Board of Directors of Datamark, Inc. Previously, Mr. Lyons was a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young, LLP. Mr. Lyons is a graduate of
Atif Gilani joined Leeds Equity in 2000 as an investment professional. He has been involved in numerous investments since then, serves on the Board of Directors of Miller Heiman, Inc. and EduK Group, and will serve on the Board of Directors of Campus Management. Prior to joining Leeds Equity, Mr. Gilani spent two years as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch. Mr. Gilani graduated from the
Jesse Serventi has been with Leeds Equity for two years and has been involved in EduK Group and Campus Management. Mr. Serventi also serves on the Board of Directors for EduK Group.
