In the wake of several personnel changes, Madison Capital Funding said Thursday it has hired Jon Leisinger as a director and head of mezzanine credit.
Leisinger will be responsible for Madison Capital’s mezzanine capabilities. He previously worked at Bain Capital‘s credit affiliate Sankaty Advisors where he served as an executive vice president responsible for mezzanine deal origination, credit evaluation, execution and portfolio management.
Leisinger’s appointment comes just days after Devon Russell, a senior MD, left Madison Capital after a dozen years. No reason was given for Russell’s departure other than the firm had “a management realignment and promoted some people in certain positions,” said Hugh Wade, CEO, co-founder and member of the firm’s executive committee.
Joshua Niedner, who led Madison Capital’s investment management group, left the middle market lender in June to join Vista Equity Partners. He is now co-head of Vista Credit Opportunities. Joe Tinaglia and Justin Bentley, who worked with Niedner at Madison Capital, have joined him at Vista Credit, PE HUB reported.
