Littlejohn recruits Tongalson as principal and business dev head

Littlejohn & Co LLC has named Jordan Tongalson as principal and business development head. Previously, Tongalson worked at Morgan Stanley‘s global industrials group where he served as an executive director. Before that, he was a vice president at Blackstone.


GREENWICH, CT, October 15, 2015 – Littlejohn & Co., LLC, a private investment firm based in Greenwich, CT, announced today the appointment of Jordan Tongalson as Principal and Head of Business Development.

Brian Ramsay, President of Littlejohn, added, “In this newly-created position, Jordan will be leading the initiative to enhance, augment, and extend our deal sourcing relationships and efforts. He has direct involvement with our investment sectors and portfolio companies and brings over 15 years of experience that combine business development, M&A and private equity skills, as well as successful hands-on operating experience. These unique characteristics will enable us to open new avenues to deploy capital in attractive investment opportunities.”

Prior to joining Littlejohn, Mr. Tongalson was an Executive Director in the Global Industrials Group at Morgan Stanley where he led building products and other industry coverage providing a full range of investment banking services.  Prior to that, he served as a Vice President at The Blackstone Group where he advised Blackstone and external clients on M&A, restructuring and private equity/LBO transactions across a variety of industries.  He started his career in finance, holding related positions at J.P. Morgan and Siemens Corporation. He earned a B.A. in Chemistry from Hamilton College and an M.B.A. with honors from Columbia Business School.
