PRESS RELEASE

Livingstone, a leading independent, international investment banking boutique, has announced today the addition of two technology industry veterans to the firm's growing Chicago team.  The two senior professionals will focus on the global technology and media sectors.

Paul Catalano joins Livingstone as a Managing Director and will head the firm's Media & Technology (media:tech) practice.  David Hassman also joins the firm as a vice president and will work closely with Catalano and the established London media:tech team.

“We are pleased to add two more outstanding professionals to our Chicago team, now 15 strong in still our first year of operation,” said partner David Sulaski.  “Adding Paul and David, in particular, will bolster our strategy of building strong sector-based expertise in growth areas of the economy.”

Catalano has spent over 13 years in the technology sector including Internet Services, Consumer Electronics, Broadband, Telecommunications, Enterprise IT, and Digital Media.  Prior to joining Livingstone, Paul was Managing Partner at RelevantC Business Group (RCBG), where he led its Strategy and M&A Advisory practice and advised over 150 clients in their market expansion activities.

“The Technology economy is robust worldwide and there is a big gap for transatlantic, mid-market M&A advisory services, particularly with the IPO window all but closed” said Catalano.  “With its unique capabilities and aggressive culture, Livingstone is well-positioned to address this important market niche.”

Catalano previously held positions with Hewlett-Packard and Texas Instruments.  He earned an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and a B.S. in Engineering from Southern Methodist University.

Hassman also joins the firm with a decade of technology sector experience and from RCBG, where he advised global technology companies and venture capital firms.   Hassman previously held corporate development roles at Motorola and Level 3 Communications.  He earned an M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School and a B.S.B.A. from the University of Illinois.
