Lombard Investments said Monday that it had sold its 23% stake in S.Pack & Print Public Co. Ltd. to Oji Paper Co. Ltd. Lombard, a PE firm with offices in Bangkok, Hong Kong and San Francisco, said it realized a 3.5x return on the sale.

Lombard Investments, Inc. announced today that it has sold its 23% stake in paper packaging manufacturer, S.Pack & Print Public Company Limited (“S.Pack”) to Oji Paper Company Limited, realizing a 3.5x return. Oji Paper Company Limited, founded in 1873 and based in Chuo-ku, Tokyo, is Japan’s leading paper packaging and related product manufacturer.
Lombard invested in the then privately held company through its Thailand Equity Fund in order to facilitate financial restructuring, a subsequent IPO, and expansion. During Lombard’s holding period, the Company built a strong market position that benefited from Thailand’s growing export trade.
