IntriCon Corp. (Nasdaq: IIN) plans to divest its non-core electronics business unit, RTI Electronics Inc. The Arden Hills, Minn.-based company’s board approved the move to liquidate the assets and expects to complete the sale by mid-year. The maker of body-worn medical and electronic devices will book a charge of $1.4 million to $1.8 million for the divestiture. For the first nine months of 2009, IntriCon’s sales fell to $41.5 million from $50.1 million a year earlier. Its RTI Electronics unit generated sales of $4 million for the latest quarter, down about 30 percent from a year earlier.

Argyce LLC was seeking a buyer for the drug development program assets of Genaera Corp.

ABRY Partners LLC was seeking a buyer for its Language Line Holdings LLC unit.

MF Global Holdings Ltd., a securities brokerage services based in New York, was seeking a buyer for its US equity interdealer brokerage business.

Neighborhood Theatre, a Charlotte, North Carolina operator of theaters, was seeking a buyer.

GMAC Financial Services, was seeking a buyer for its bankrupt Residential Capital LLC unit, a Minneapolis-based real-estate financing services company.

Protective Products of America Inc., which is bankrupt, was seeking a buyer for the company. Sun Capital Partners Inc. was named potential bidder for the Sunrise, Florida-based company.

Pinnacol Assurance has hired JP Morgan to sell an undisclosed size minority stake owned by the state of Colorado.

Orange County Fairgrounds based in Costa Mesa, Calif., was seeking a buyer for the company.

New Frontier Energy, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: NFEI), based in Denver, announced it is exploring strategic alternatives.

Drug developer Cordex Pharma, based in La Jolla, Calif., hired WBB Securities to advise it on strategic alternatives.

AMEX-traded Orleans Homebuilders, Inc. continues to explore strategic alternatives including a potential sale or recapitalization of the Company, and has presented potential transaction alternatives to its lending group.
