Madison adds MD to healthcare group

Madison Capital Funding LLC, a subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company, has named Eric Hartung as a managing director within the healthcare group as part of the specialty originations team. Prior to joining Madison, Hartung worked at Capital One where he was a managing director.

CHICAGO, July 16, 2019 – Madison Capital Funding LLC, (“Madison”) a subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company, today announced that Eric Hartung has joined the firm as a Managing Director within the Healthcare Group as part of the Specialty Originations team. Based in Chicago, Mr. Hartung is responsible for originating and executing new investment opportunities from private equity sponsors with a focus on the healthcare industry. He reports to Bill Kindorf, Managing Director, Head of Specialty Originations team.

Prior to joining Madison, Mr. Hartung was a Managing Director at Capital One where he originated private equity sponsored loans for the Healthcare Financial Services group and covered 50 middle-market private equity sponsors in the Midwest and eastern United States. He was also a Managing Director, Sponsor Finance and Healthcare at GE Capital where he covered private equity sponsors in the U.S. and Canada. Mr. Hartung was also a Manager of Transaction Services at PWC. Mr. Hartung holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Madison as well as an MBA in Finance and Economics from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
