PRESS RELEASE

Marcus Badger joins Corridor Capital from Frontenac Company to expand our efforts to acquire new specialty manufacturing and business services platform companies and support our portfolio businesses. Marcus brings seven years of private equity investment and financial advisory experience to the firm and joins Corridor Capital as a Principal.

Prior to joining Corridor Capital, Marcus was a Vice President with Frontenac Company, a Chicago-based private investment firm founded in 1971, with over 200 lower middle market investments across its 9 funds. While at Frontenac, Marcus served as the deal execution leader for new platform e+CancerCare and associated add-ons, thereafter serving on its board of directors. For portfolio company H-E Parts International, a distributor and remanufacturer of aftermarket parts to the mining and heavy construction industries, he worked closely with the CEO and CFO delivering three add-ons acquisitions, adding over $100 million in revenue.

Marcus began his training in private equity as an Analyst with H.I.G. Capital, a leading global private investment firm with over $7.5 billion in capital under management. At H.I.G., he co-managed lender negotiations, diligence processes and worked across complex transactions including distressed situations.

Marcus started his career as an investment banker in Chicago, focused across mergers & acquisitions and capital markets. He served first as an Analyst for Credit Suisse and later as an Associate Director for UBS Investment Bank. Marcus holds a B.B.A. in both Finance and Accounting from the University of Michigan’s Stephen M. Ross School of Business and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

About Corridor Capital

Corridor Capital provides far more than capital to US-based small companies—to our knowledge, we are the most actively engaged private equity partner across strategy, operations and finance. The Corridor team is comprised of pragmatic experienced operators who have managed businesses or divisions of companies; we are not a Wall Street firm.

Through our collaborative, highly active approach, we work alongside management to build the institutions and efficiencies necessary for sustainable scalable growth. Corridor’s portfolio companies benefit from value-added activities such as: worldwide business development, financial controls design, customer profitability analysis, operations restructuring, systems implementation and key management team recruitment. Our broad investor base includes over 150 top executives across a vast array of industries and disciplines, a unique resource we bring to benefit our portfolio companies and their teams.

We make control investments in specialty manufacturing, business services and environmental services industries. Corridor focuses on complex situations, particularly those requiring growth support or operational or financial engagement. We prefer to work with entrepreneurs and family-owned businesses that have not yet realized the benefits of hands-on, institutional ownership. We are honored that sellers often rollover a meaningful portion of their equity in an effort to benefit from the Corridor approach, giving owners access to a subsequent second liquidity event against significant value created together.
