Mayer Brown hires Rogers as partner for banking and finance practice

Mayer Brown has hired Mae Rogers as a partner for its banking and finance practice. Rogers’ practice focuses mostly on leveraged finance, which includes advising private equity funds and their portfolio companies. Previously, Rogers worked at Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel.

New York, 7 March 2017 – Mayer Brown announced today that Mae Rogers has joined its Banking & Finance practice as a partner in New York. She joins from Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel.

“Mae has a strong track record of advising private equity sponsors and other borrowers on a wide range of complex transactions in the syndicated lending market,” said Douglas Doetsch, co-leader of Mayer Brown’s global Banking & Finance practice. “Her arrival reinforces Mayer Brown’s position as a leading law firm on borrower-side financings in various industries around the world.”

Ms. Rogers’ practice focuses primarily on leveraged finance, including the representation of private equity funds and their portfolio companies with respect to leveraged buyouts and dividend recapitalizations. She advises private equity funds, hedge funds and borrowers in a variety of complex financing transactions, including syndicated secured and unsecured credit facilities, second lien financings, debtor-in-possession financings and workouts. Ms. Rogers also represents clients with respect to both consensual and non-consensual foreclosure proceedings, including public sales conducted in accordance with the Uniform Commercial Code.

Ms. Rogers represents lenders and borrowers in a variety of industries, including consumer products, retail, energy, technology, automotive, chemical, real estate, and insurance and broker dealers.
