Lisa Pavelka McAlister has joined PwC US as an MD in the firm’s U.S. Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services group. She will CORRECTION:manage assist in driving PwC’s IPO and capital raising services to PE and alternative investment companies. McAlister’s previously was SVP, COO and CFO of global private equity at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
PwC US today announced that Lisa Pavelka McAlister has joined the firm as Managing Director with the U.S. Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory Services (CMAAS) group. In her new role, McAlister will manage the firm’s services to private equity and alternative investment companies. Prior to joining PwC, McAlister served as senior vice president and COO, and also CFO, of global private equity at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
A division of the Transaction Services practice, PwC’s CMAAS group provides end-to-end services for companies engaging in capital raising activity – including IPOs, private placements, securitizations, finance lease or a secondary offering. Skilled members of the team focus on helping clients navigate the complex process around planning and executing capital transactions and minimizing potential risks while preparing a company to operate as a public company.

McAlister has also held senior financial roles with Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co. LP, high-net worth family offices, as well as with numerous publicly-held and venture-backed companies spanning the healthcare, real estate and technology sectors. McAlister’s broad experience includes financial operations and reporting, investor relations, valuations, strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting, accounting, and tax and cash management.
McAlister received her B.A. in Accountancy from New Mexico State University and an MBA in finance from Bentley University. She has served as the director at large for Financial Executives International, and is also a member of The Central Park Conservancy, American Museum of Natural History, The Museum of Modern Art as well as with private equity professional organizations.
