Metron Aviation, a subsidiary of Airbus Americas, has promoted Jim Gaughan to Chief Operating Officer. Gaughan previously held the position of Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Research and Engineering Business Unit.
Metron Aviation, a subsidiary of Airbus Americas, is pleased to announce the promotion of Jim Gaughan to Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Gaughan previously held the position of Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Research and Engineering Business Unit.
Mr. Gaughan has over 25 years experience in traffic management, systems engineering, software development, product integration and testing, with a track record of success in managing large, complex technology programs. Under his leadership, Metron Aviation’s Advanced Research and Engineering Business Unit won the single largest award to a small business in Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) history, the System Engineering 2020 (SE-2020) Research and Mission Analysis Set-Aside Program, awarded to Metron Aviation in 2010.

Alan Bloodgood has been promoted to Mr. Gaughan’s former role as the Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Advanced Research and Engineering Business Unit. Mr. Bloodgood has over 24 years of experience in Air Traffic Management (ATM), real-time software engineering, systems integration and program management.
