Moelis Capital Names Hill An Operating Partner

Moelis Capital Partners said Thursday that Barbara Hill has been appointed an operating partner. Hill was most recently CEO of ValueOptions. She will focus on healthcare-related investments, and provide strategic and operating support to Moelis Capital’s healthcare portfolio companies. Moelis Capital is the PE arm of Moelis & Co.

Moelis Capital Partners (MCP), the private equity
business of Moelis & Company, today announced the appointment of Barbara B.
Hill as an Operating Partner. Ms. Hill, who most recently was CEO of
ValueOptions, Inc., will focus on healthcare-related investments and provide
strategic and operating support to MCP’s healthcare portfolio companies.
MCP, a middle market private equity firm founded in 2007, manages more than
$700 million of committed private equity capital and a $1.2 billion private equity
co-investment program. MCP targets equity investments between $25 and $100
million in leading middle market companies.

Previous to her most recent position as CEO and President of ValueOptions, Inc.,
a managed behavioral health company with close to 3,000 employees and annual
revenues of more than $1 billion, Ms. Hill was President of Express Scripts, Inc.
and before that Senior Vice President of Operations at CIGNA HealthCare.
She has also been a senior executive at several managed care companies,
including Rush Prudential Health Plans, Aetna, The Prudential Insurance
Company of America and The Johns Hopkins Health Plan. Ms. Hill currently
serves on the Boards of Directors at St. Jude Medical and Revera, a Canadian
senior living company.
