Mooreland Partners is pleased to announce that it acted as the exclusive financial advisor to WorldMate Inc. on its sale to Carson Wagonlit Travel Inc., the leading global business travel management company.
WorldMate operates a mobile travel itinerary management platform accessible via a mobile application. Travellers can use WorldMate’s service to manage every aspect of their business and leisure trips via their mobile phone, including booking hotels and car rentals, receiving real-time flight updates, posting their trip information to Facebook, getting local weather forecasts, maps, and currency converters, etc. WorldMate’s itinerary management application has been used by over 10 million business and leisure travellers to date.
The acquisition of WorldMate strategically enhances the mobile capabilities of CWT’s existing travel management solutions which are used by companies, government institutions and non-governmental organizations of all sizes in more than 150 countries and territories.
Based in Palo Alto, CA with operations in Israel, WorldMate received funding from, among others, Blackberry Partners Fund and Motorola Ventures.
